WB's Cancelled Superman Game REVEALED

In the ever growing list of cancelled DC projects WB Montreal have worked on over the past few years, it looks like you can throw a Superman game onto the pile. Twitter user Tatlinksy discovered a piece of concept art on the website of a character designer and concept artist who worked with the studio on Arkham Origins and the DLC for Arkham Knight, which shows Superman flying through a mock-up of Metropolis.

This looks like an extremely early piece of art for the project, with the city itself clearly modelled on New York. Still, there are some interesting visual flourishes in there, including the rail line running through the heart of the location (which is such a superhero staple), the multi-coloured moody aesthetic and Supes' himself being little more than a dot in the corner, highlighting the verticality of the city.

Whether we'll see more from the project is yet to be seen, but for now you can safely file it under the wealth of other leaked art for games WB Montreal never got to make.
