Why Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Is The Best Assassin's Creed

9. The Graphics

With such a lush and exotic world filled with potential, having a game that is capable of bringing it to life is an absolute must. Fortunately for Black Flag, it has exactly that.

The game was the first to be released on the PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One for the major series and the improved engines allowed the West Indies setting to be revolutionised into the world of 1080p graphics, a real game changer from those that had come before it.

Vision could be stretched further than it ever had before, the sheer amount of colours on show help lend a vibrancy to the world, the motion animations helped render buildings, islands and ships much more smoothly and the wider array of visual effects brings a new life to the game's open West Indian seas.

With the Black Flag world already standing out amongst its fellow games in the series for its imagination and variety, the noticeably improved visuals really are what bring it all together. For a game that is seven years old now, Black Flag's overall look still remains incredibly impressive.
