In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’ debut trailer, we get to see the twisted results of what must have been countless Nazi experiments and ideas. The New Colossus’ alternate world is one where businesses sell robotic dog mechs on the market, catlike creatures change television channels and robots march towards you, threatening your life.
In addition, it appears LSD and/or other hallucinogenic drugs may play some role in the game, as in the reveal trailer you can see a character begin to hallucinate after popping a pill in his mouth prior to combat. Thoughts of tripping on LSD while destroying Nazis is nothing short of insanity.
The reveal trailer was not short of other surprises as well. Giant airships, bulletproof body armor, daredevil resistance fighters, robotic arms, ax wielding Nazi women, rocket launchers, alligators, melee weapons, and gory, devastating kills are all on display.
This insanity is what makes Wolfenstein so enticing. We just have no idea what other crazy experiences may be in store, and in this alternate world dominated by Nazi Germany, anything is possible.
