World Of Warcraft: 9 Modern Complaints Real Fans Are Sick Of Hearing

7. The First Of Many "Back In The Day" Arguments... World PvP

Let€™s face it; you€™re never going to become a true fanboy if you don€™t learn to properly reminisce about the past. The PvP community, however, do have a legitimate argument that they are being discriminated against in terms of content design. It€™s been two years since the last battleground was introduced, and Ashran has been an unmitigated disaster. Years ago, there was the famous Tarren Mill vrs Southshore epic between Horde and Alliance, where players would tear each other apart from their respective bases in a battle that would last for hours. And perhaps the spirit of Tarren Mill vrs Southshore may never be recreated; Chris Metzen obviously thought it was more important to decimate Hillsbrad Foothills into some sort of an undead-Auschwitz to progress the story of Sylvanas Windrunner, only to ignore her for four subsequent years. Players seeking a challenge should join a high-population PvP server if they are hungry for world PvP, and search out a healthy and active guild committed to PvP. Just don€™t drop straight into Stormwind€™s Trade Quarter, have your bee-hind kindly handed to you by a bunch of silly humans, those blue Russian squid-alien people and four auctioneers, and then cry that "World PvP is dead". Oh, and ganking does not constitute world PvP... it never did.
