WWE 2K15: 10 Epic Sting Matches That Must Be Included

Ok 2K games so you've finally got Sting as part of your franchise... now what you gonna do with him?

It had long been rumored that Sting would be a part of the WWE 2K15 video game in some way, shape, or form, and now that it has been officially confirmed, it is time to begin speculating on what kind of role he will be playing. With the WCW and TNA legend officially in the fold, there is already talk of some sort of "Sting Mode" in the game, where players will be able to relive the man's career, playing through several of his biggest matches, in the mold of previous modes in the game's series, like Attitude Era. If we're going to have something like that to play though in the upcoming game, it's only right to discuss Sting's career and look back at ten of his matches that need to be included. These may or may not be his ten best matches, but if you're having a career retrospective, of sorts, like this would end up being, these are ten matches that can't be ignored, as they either hold significant historical value, and you're unable to tell the true story of his career without them, or they would simply be a lot of fun to play. Whatever it is, these matches need to be in the mix.

10. Vs Ric Flair (Clash Of The Champions 27)

Let's ignore the backstory behind this title unification match (WCW creating its own fake "international subsidiary" to create the WCW International World Title, to go with their WCW World Title, and then unifying them), and merely focus on the two men involved in the match. When Sting and Ric Flair wrestled each other, there was off-the-charts in-ring chemistry (as you'll see later in this list), and this match was no different. At this point in Sting's career, he had transitioned successfully from up-and-coming superstar to actual superstar, and was still one of the more popular names in the business. This match had a slower and less intense pace than the usual match between the two, but it was still something fun, with nice storytelling involving Sherri Martel, who was in Sting's corner. They certainly had better matches with each other, but this was one that helped to craft WCW in its early stages after their split from the NWA, and it involves nice post-match action featuring none other than Hulk Hogan, who was brand new to the company.
