Inevitably when every annual WWE release comes around, a lot of focus concentrates on the roster. With increased console capacity, the mystery surrounding rosters has become somewhat outdated, as it's more than likely that 2K will be able to include pretty much every wrestler they want to, without limit. The only questions will relate to disgraced former stars like Chris Benoit (not a chance), disgruntled employees like Mick Foley or AWOL superstars like CM Punk, whose inclusion in the game is the biggest superstar question yet to be answered. Even if Punk allows his contract to run out, he could be enticed to sign a game only extension, or a specialist contract tying him to 2K that allows for his image to be used in the game without obligation to continue with the company. But then, that would only serve WWE in the short-term, and it might be deemed a poor decision to pander to Punk.
