8. Kane Embraces The Hate With John Cena And Zack Ryder In 2012
The "Embrace The Hate" feud between Kane and John Cena with a slice of Zack Ryder was one of the most awful rivalries in WWE history. Kane was there to bring out the evil side of Cena. He had to make him more aggressive. It was WWE's way of getting ready Cena for his huge WrestleMania 28 match against The Rock and since Rock wasn't on TV in January and February, they needed something for Cena to do. Even though Ryder was the US Champion at the time, he was booked like such a hapless loser that WWE managed to kill all his heat even though he tried so hard to win the fans over on his own through Youtube, Twitter and everything other than WWE programming. This booking was so bad that it's over two and half years later with Ryder barely hanging on in WWE because of how brutal he was portrayed in early 2012. Who can forget the visual of Ryder in a wheelchair with a neckbrace on while Kane wheeled him on the stage and then sent him flying off the stage? It was so bad that it was good! Ryder's friend Eve, who was really only using him to get her hands on Cena, was all sad about it while Cena proved to be a terrible friend throughout the feud because Ryder kept getting beat up worse week after week. What an awful wrestling angle this was. It makes you wonder who thought it was a good idea and why they felt that way because it really bad for so many reasons.
