WWE 2K16 sees initial release in late-October. Braun Strowman made his main roster debut in late-August, which is likely why he's not included in the game. It's a sad fact of life that 2K Sports only have so much time before they must provide a cut off point to WWE. After all, the company need ample warning before they can photograph, build and fully render a wrestler. That said, surely WWE officials were aware that Strowman was about to be called up? Erick Rowan was injured in June, so management must have had a fair idea of what they were about to do. At that very moment, as soon as they knew Braun was on his way, 2K should have been notified. There's no real reason why he couldn't have been included as a late addition. It's disappointing that the likes of 'King' Barrett is included, but not Braun Strowman. Barrett looks set to be repackaged when he returns, whereas Strowman is a current part of the televised product. Things move very fast nowadays in WWE, granted, but it's baffling Braun hasn't even been announced as DLC.
