On Wednesday 14th, Adam Pacitti and I got a chance to get our hands on an advance copy of 2K's latest in the long-running franchise of annual WWE games, WWE2K16. Overall, our reaction was positive. The annual nature of these games generates a fair amount of gamer fatigue and indeed, on first glance, this could be considering just a re-skin of the same game from the last 4 years. That, coupled with last year's disappointing offering gutted creation suite, turgid MyCareer, the song 'We Dem Boyz' every ten minutes and gamers could be forgiven for wanting to save their money, but that could be a mistake this year. WWE2K16 has many points in its favour, and Adam P and I had a blast during the scant hours we had with the game. There's a canny new reversal system that reduces the button mashing aspect, the roster is straight-up gigantic, and MyCareer seems a lot more lively and representative of the actual WWE product - as far as it can be, anyway.
