There is a shockingly large majority that doesn't want a Stone Cold Steve Austin mode at all. The general consensus of this viewpoint states that WWE gamers are sick of playing game modes from The Attitude Era. They want to see a lot more of wrestling's great eras explored and maybe used to introduce a couple of generations of unwitting fans. Nevertheless, The Attitude Era WILL always be a good seller due to the fondness it is looked back with so you can't blame the powers that be going with yet another mode focusing on wrestling's most successful period. Gamers like Daniel Gomez commented on our posts with sentiments like:
"I'm getting tired of seeing the Attitude Era in the WWE games, I'd rather have the Ruthless Aggression Era."
While people like Danny Woodward want to see:
"A good career mode, maybe a couple of years long with my chosen character rising from the bottom to the top and then give me a mode where I can take a WWE wrestler for a year - Start at Wrestle mania where I pick my superstar, say HHH, He is the champion I then play as his opponent and then take me a full year to the next Mania including Rumble."
The naysayers are out in force and a challenge has certainly been set WWE and 2K \Sports, let's hope you hit it out the park...
