WWE 2K18: 10 Potential Game Modes It Must Have

It's the elephant that will continue to sit in the corner of the room until WWE and 2K decide to include it in their marquee video game. Let's hope that if they do return to the featured game mode model with 2K18 that it'll incorporate a Monday Night Wars mode so people like me can stop hyping it up, not that a mode like this needs much hyping of course as it's one of those that if sold as its own standalone game would more than likely outsell WWE 2K18.

With WWE now having access to so many performers that made this period of wrestling what it was it just makes sense to give it a good going over in video game form. One standout from recent times in Goldberg is firmly back in the WWE Universe, and while the return of the former Universal Champion to the fray is great news, the status of another key player could cause problems for the video game version of the MNW to happen.

For me, this game mode hinges on Hulk Hogan's relationship with the company due to the role he played for the nWo. Quite frankly, if Hogan's not around there's no point in doing this mode as it wouldn't be done properly. 'The Hulkster' didn't make the WrestleMania return that so many were expecting him to make, and with Vince McMahon himself labelling John Cena the 'Babe Ruth of WWE,' a moniker formerly given to Hogan, things look bleak. Of course, let's not forget that Hulk shouldn't return to WWE unless the wrongs outed in the summer of 2015 are righted the best they possibly can be.

Nevertheless, a Monday Night Wars mode is one that so many of WWE's gaming universe want to play through. WWE and 2K teased us somewhat with the Attitude Era Mode that appeared in WWE '13 with passing references to the ratings war in the way of charts and the like. It would be fantastic to see them go whole hog and give us a hammer and tong, to and fro experience that covers the key moments from both RAW and Nitro during wrestling's most recent boom period.
