WWE 2K19: 10 Wrestlers 2K Should Showcase Next
4. The Rock
WWE blatantly love being able to point at Hollywood's leading man and shout from the rooftops about the part they played in making him a star. The Rock belonged to wrestling first, and the fact he's been able to crossover into the mainstream would only help his cause as a Showcase subject.
Dwayne Johnson's history appeals to more than just hardcore grapple fans, after all.
2K have shown a willingness to recreate hidden gem moments from a wrestler's career before. They did it with Austin, and they've done it before in 2K15 (the Body Bag Match from that game's 'Path of the Warrior' DLC was a nice surprise). Now, they're poised to do so again with Daniel Bryan, so why not The Rock?
Playing through his debut at Survivor Series 1996 and that first IC Title win at the one-off Thursday Raw Thursday in 1997 against Triple H would be a sweet kickoff on a mode displaying his mammoth rise to WWE stardom. Joining The Nation, forming The Corporation, becoming a breakout babyface, Hollywood and his sporadic returns would also all have to be in there.
