Names galore, and more to come?

In part one of 2K's roster reveal for WWE 2K19, the focus seemed to be on announcing a sprinkling of big names without giving all the heavy-hitters away in one go. Of the 75 names revealed, 21 also came from NXT, and a total (across NXT and the main roster) of 17 female superstars were included.

The second part bolsters that women's division with a further 15 names, but it looks like 2K won't be announcing any more NXT members, at least not for the on-disc roster.

Another thing to note is that 2K are far from done with spotlighting everyone who will be involved in the new game. There are still some holes to be filled, and the emphasis has been on making sure some of the lesser stars (such as The Ascension, Breezango and Dana Brooke from part one) are in the same company as marquee names.

That's smart, and it's allowed 2K to beef out the actual numbers without worrying about every single character being essential. The same pattern is used for part two, and it's interesting to see a few hidden gems and surprises in there.
