With Rey Mysterio being the focal point of the Showcase mode in WWE 2K22, clearly much of the time will be spent on SmackDown. For much of his career, the Master of the 619 was a mainstay on the blue brand, a part of the notorious SmackDown Six. That makes it slightly disappointing that there are no throwback set designs available in the game.

Creator TJFromXTheSt has done an excellent job bringing the set many fans will remember from SmackDown’s heyday to life. The ring is perfect with the old SMACKDOWN! logo on two sides of the apron and the ad for WWE.com on the other.

The true highlight of this creation is the stage, as the beautiful SmackDown fist makes its return. On top of that, the dual screens on each side of the fist and video monitor entranceway truly bring you back to the golden era of the blue brand. Not to mention the cherry on top being the old WWE scratch logo high above the stage. Hat's off to TJ for this all around excellent created arena.
