A brand new addition to the series, WarGames has left jaws on the floor at how well 2K and Visual Concepts have piloted the digitisation of the popular stipulation. Capable of both three-on-three and four-on-four variations for men's and women's collisions, WarGames - staying true to itself - also allows for weapons to be brought into the ring.

To do this, the player will have the chance to scour under the ring whenever a new participant enters the match, where the option to toggle the weapon wheel will appear.

Unfortunately, not every weapon is playable in WarGames, per Smacktalks. While the usual tables, chairs, and kendo sticks can be utilised, as well as the more eccentric sledgehammers, baseball bats, and stop signs, the likes of the ladder and the trash can aren't WarGames-friendly, the trash can itself a new addition to the under-the-ring carnage.

The good news is that, once inside the dual-ring caged structure, weapons work the same as they would in any other match type. They can be transported between the two rings, with the table having the unique animation of being thrown from one ring to the next; if it connects with an opponent, it will actually impact them, knocking them down.
