WWE 2K23 Early Reviews: 10 Major Details We Learned
3. Double Championship Entrances Are Back
At the time of writing, Roman Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion - but this wasn't exactly possible to replicate in WWE 2K22.
To enter as the above champion, Reigns would require an entrance that sees him hold both the WWE and Universal titles, not one or the other. Double championship entrances had been removed from WWE games over the last few years for reasons unknown, but thankfully the feature will return in WWE 2K23, already being displayed with Reigns' exact entrance above.
It remains unknown how many options there will be to choose from, though there are some that immediately spring to mind that should be in there, such as Rob Van Dam's dual WWE and ECW title entrance from 2006. That RVD's WWE title over Cena - leading to the ECW title's introduction - features in Showcase Mode is perhaps a hint that it will be there.
Previous double championship entrances in WWE games featured versions for Chris Jericho, The Miz, and Randy Orton from their time as Undisputed WWF Champion, simultaneous United States and Unified WWE Tag Team Champion, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion, respectively, amongst other choices. There's no word on if they'll return or if new animations will feature instead.
