Poor Elias.

Ever since the Empty Arena era, Elias' career has been in something of a tailspin. His entire gimmick relies on audience participation and when the crowds went away, he was lost. Even after the people returned to WWE arenas, his career has never come close to reaching its pre-pandemic peak.

And to add insult to injury, his own brother Ezekiel is now ranked a whole five points higher than him.

Before you accuse this writer of being insane / a mark / an insane mark, rest assured - I am aware that Elias and Ezekiel are the same person. That being said, it can't feel good for Elias to see his cup-of-coffee comedy gimmick rank higher than the persona he's built his entire career around.

Elias' lowly ranking feels like an extra kick in the teeth for the man WWE once entrusted to go tête-à-tête with the Undertaker on 2019's post-Mania RAW. Hopefully 2023 is kinder to the drifter than the past few years have been.
