Xbox Game Pass: 10 Best Bethesda Games
1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
The fourth entry in the Elder Scrolls series, and one of three coming to Game Pass, Oblivion retains more charm that most games you will come across.
Whereas Morrowind is strange, alien, and inhospitable, Cyrodiil, and the game as a whole by extension, is more traditional with regards to fantasy tropes and stylings, yet always with the flair that the series brings to its lore.
You begin as a prisoner who happens to become involved in the attempt to stop the assassination of the Emperor Uriel Septim (voiced by Patrick Stuart). Before his death, the Emperor entrusts you with the Amulet of the Kings, and tells you to seek out his illegitimate son, Martin Septim (voiced by Sean Bean).
Like any Elder Scrolls title, you can take this main quest as far as you want, or else ignore it and seek out your own adventures. And Oblivion is one of the fullest title's in the series.
Whether intentionally or not, Todd Howard seemed to let slip during Thursday's stream that Oblivion would be soon in 4k. So now you can get lost in it all over again.
