Yoshi's Crafted World Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs
1. Up: It's An Easy Recommend For Gamers Of Any Age
As is customary with all things Nintendo, Yoshi's Crafted World is a great deal of fun for any age. It's not too demanding in any sense but isn't so simple that it feels like you're not getting a whole lot of game with your purchase. All in all, young aspiring gamers and long-time Nintendo fans will be able to feel a great deal of joy throughout their playtime.
So much of this is due to the timeless feeling of Crafted World. Like many titles from the company, this is a game that will age tremendously. Going beyond just the graphics, playing the game is a joy. It already feels like something of a time capsule with a story that is so simple that it's set up within a 30-second intro cutscene, but the way it has an aura of childlike whimsy and wonder makes it so engaging and delightful.
Games like this help remind seasoned players what it is they appreciate about the industry, albeit in an adorable, simplified way. While games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and God Of War excel as both tech demos and impactful experiences, Yoshi's Crafted World is a simple but impeccably-polished.
Play it today or five years from now, and you'll always be able to fall in love.
