10 Horror Franchises Where Every Movie Is Good

4. A Quiet Place

John Krasinski made himself instant horror royalty with 2018's A Quiet Place - a gut-wrenchingly tense post-apocalyptic monster movie propelled forward by its sound-sparse approach and superb performances.

A Quiet Place Part II similarly delivered the goods in 2021, and while it lacked some of its predecessor's freshness, it benefitted from bringing the brilliant likes of Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou into the fold.

And then there was last year's prequel spin-off A Quiet Place: Day One, which despite the frustration from some fans that Krasinski didn't immediately press on with Part III, ultimately served up a surprisingly affecting, poignant, character-driven story that's arguably the most emotionally rich of the three movies.

A Quiet Place Part III was recently dated to release on July 9, 2027, and considering the 100% hit rate so far, there's little reason to doubt that Krasinski will close the original trilogy out in satisfying fashion, regardless of whether the series continues with spin-offs.
