10 Horror Sequels That Were Just Confirmed
9. Sorority Row 2
And now for a horror sequel just about nobody expected to happen.
2009's Sorority Row was a remake of the 1982 slasher film The House on Sorority Row, and despite being panned by critics managed to turn a profit at the box office.
An expected sequel was never actually made, and the world seemingly moved on. But this past April, writer Josh Stolberg revealed that Sorority Row 2 is actually going to happen.
And even if you dismiss Stolberg's remarks as merely trying to drum up business, he posted a recent makeup test with actress Leah Pipes - who played the doomed Jessica Pierson in the first movie - seeming to suggest that it's not just hot air.
Stolberg added that once he finishes shooting his current project, he'll be meeting with Lionsgate to hammer out the details on a new Sorority Row.
The original film certainly hasn't remained in the zeitgeist over the last 15+ years, but it does nevertheless have its fans who will be all-too eager to see a sequel.
