10 Horror Sequels That Were Just Confirmed

2. The Jester 2

2023's supernatural horror flick The Jester was mostly panned by critics and audiences alike, so there wasn't much expectation that it would lead to a second movie.

And yet, there's always something to be said for a cool mask, because despite the vast majority of folk not enjoying the film, it was announced in July that The Jester 2 had already been quietly shot and will have a brief two-night U.S. theatrical release in September before hitting streaming, presumably in time for Halloween.

Writer-director Colin Krawchuk is back for the sequel, as is Michael Sheffield in the title role, and if nothing else the trailer certainly suggests a bigger-budget, more lavish affair.

One can only hope that it pulls a Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 and serves up a significant improvement over its maligned predecessor.

Either way, the fact that it makes economic sense for this sequel to get made is baffling, honestly. Good luck to 'em, though.
