10 Horror Victims That Did Everything Right But Died Anyway

9. Troy - Saw III

There are many Saw victims who found themselves in impossible-to-win scenarios. Despite following Jigsaw's rules to the letter, they were incinerated, eviscerated, or other words ending with -ated.

However, Troy from Saw III was the first victim to suffer such an unfair fate. The drug-addicted criminal wakes up in a sealed room, with metal chains piercing his body. He's then informed he must break out before a nearby nail bomb detonates.

It's worth mentioning Jigsaw was too frail to orchestrate this test so he left those duties to his apprentice, Amanda. However, Amanda refused to give Jigsaw's victims a chance, and so sabotaged Troy's trial.

Firstly, she attached one chain to his chin, which would kill him if pulled out. She also attached chains to his Achilles' tendons, making it impossible for Troy to walk out of the room. If that wasn't enough, Amanda welded the exit shut, so Troy's demise wasn't just likely but guaranteed. Even though Troy removed as many chains as humanly possible, he was never going to make it out alive.

He may be a minor character, but Troy is important since he highlights how Jigsaw's accomplices don't always abide by the rules they themselves created.
