One of the worst things a movie can do, is leave its audience feeling insulted and that they've wasted their time. Case in point, 2012's The Devil Inside.

A found-footage, documentary-style investigation into possession, our main characters are Isabella Rossi, her mother Maria, filmmaker Michael, and priests Ben and David. Maria has been locked up in a psychiatric hospital for 20 years after killing three people during an exorcism that was performed on her. Now, Isabella is making her own documentary on the subject of exorcism as she looks to dive deeper into what happened - and is continuing to happen - to her mother.

By The Devil Inside's final moments, David has committed suicide after becoming possessed, Isabella is possessed and in a car with Michael - who she causes to be possessed - and Ben. This all concludes in a car crash which kills Michael and Ben, and Isabella is nowhere to be found.

So, where's the twist? Why, that's when The Devil Inside abruptly ends and directs you to a website for the full details on what happened here and beyond. Even more infuriating, is that website nowadays no longer exists - meaning those watching The Devil Inside for the first time today won't be able to get a resolution to this cliffhanger.
