10 Most Surprising Deaths in Horror Movies

Oh, Terry, this character really has one of the most bizarre fates in the Final Destination franchise, because in this series' high-calibre résumé of over-the-top deaths, she was taken out in the simplest way possible: a sudden traffic accident. Yet, despite its simplicity, the sheer surprise of this demise makes it one of the most iconic in horror history.

You're likely familiar with the classic Final Destination set-up by now. Someone has a premonition of an incoming catastrophe, prevents it, and saves a selection of characters, all of whom are slowly reclaimed by Death in convoluted yet entertaining ways. 

Terry's one of the original victims of the Reaper's grip, having been the second main character to die in the first film. Her shocking death comes directly after lecturing all the other characters on how the fear of death won't dictate the rest of her life. After doing so, she steps into the road and is unexpectedly blindsided by a speeding bus, splattering viscera across the shocked ensemble. How ironic. 

Not to put the blame on Terry, but you really should look before crossing the street.
