4. Grand Dragon Hogwood - Sinners
And what would this list be without Sinners' big climactic kill, because sometimes watching a horrific racist get riddled with lead is just what the doctor ordered.
After vampire villain Remmick (Jack O'Connell) goes up in flames, there's Hogwood (David Maldonado) left to deal with, the racist landowner who sold the sawmill to Smoke and Stack (Michael B. Jordan), and is later outed as the Grand Dragon of the local branch of the Ku Klux Klan.
In the morning, Hogwood and his lackeys arrive at the sawmill to finish off any survivors, only for Smoke to stage an epic last stand. Here, he guns down as many of the Klansmen as he can, and though he is ultimately mortally wounded, before Smoke perishes, he manages to unload a clip's worth of machine-gun ammo into Hogwood, thoroughly ending him.
As cathartically violent death scenes go in recent cinema, this one's pretty damn tough to top, alright.
