20 Horror Films Where The Hero Teams Up With The Villain

6. Blade II

Wesley Snipes Blade 2
New Line Cinema

Born with the traits of a vampire but maintaining his moral compass, Blade dedicates his life to slaughtering as many bloodsuckers as possible.

But in Blade II, the eponymous character discovers Reapers, a new breed of super-vampires that have been unleashed on the world. The vampire overlord, Damaskinos, recognises his kind cannot destroy the Reapers alone and offers Blade a ceasefire. Though Blade suspects Damaskinos has an ulterior motive, he agrees to team up with the undead clan.

Even with a common enemy, Blade and the vampires can't hide their disdain for each other, leading to some solid banter, especially from Ron Perlman's Reinhardt and Kris Kristofferson's Whistler.

To the surprise of nobody, Damaskinos betrays Blade once the Reapers no longer pose a threat.

When Damaskinos' daughter, Nyssa, sees how tyrannical her father is, she renounces her family and sides with Blade. After Nyssa is infected with the Reaper virus, she begs Blade to expose her to sunlight rather than letting her become an even greater monster.

Although Blade has executed countless vampires before, Nyssa is among the few he put down out of mercy.
