Sam Raimi's Send Help is a deliciously dark sick puppy of a movie which ends with Linda (Rachel McAdams) killing her a**hole boss Bradley (Dylan O'Brien), being rescued, and reinventing herself as a celebrity with a cooked-up story of how she was the sole survivor of the opening plane crash.
Considering how awful Bradley is shown to be throughout the film, one might be tempted to think, "Good for her," but Raimi's film has a decidedly meaner and more surprisingly nuanced throughline than this.
That is to say, Linda isn't the meek and innocent person she first appears to be, with it eventually being revealed that she killed Bradley's fiancee Zuri (Edyll Ismail) and a boat captain who arrived at the island to rescue them.
Linda's life is massively improved upon her return, but the film doesn't really want you to think too hard about the families of Zuri and the boat captain who will presumably never learn what happened to their loved ones.
This is assuming that their corpses are never found of course, because with all the media attention and inevitable flood of influencers who will flock to the island after Linda's rescue, there's a good chance somebody finds them and opens a whole other can of worms.
