And finally, we have a sequel that even die-hard genre aficionados could've never expected.

Horror legend Larry Fassenden's next film, Trauma, is a most surprising sequel to three of his previous creature features: 1997 vampire movie Habit, 2019's Frankensteinian Depraved, and the 2023 werewolf movie Blackout.

Back in August, Fessenden wrapped Trauma or, Monsters All, a crossover sequel featuring the protagonists from all three films - played by himself, Alex Breaux, and Alex Hurt - while the supporting cast will be filled out by his regular collaborators Addison Timlin, Joshua Leonard, and Barbara Crampton.

Fassenden has a modest but loyal fanbase who will surely be delighted to know that the filmmaker is expanding his own cult mythology of monster fare, and considering his penchant for spinning out quality horror romps on small budgets, it's easy to be intrigued by this ambitious, decades-in-the-making follow-up.

Trauma is expected to release sometime in 2026.
