18. Wolf Creek: Legacy
Wolf Creek 2 was released way back in 2013 and seemed to suggest that a threequel would be on the way at some point. Yet after the two-season TV series aired between 2016 and 2017, movement on Wolf Creek 3 stalled until 2024, when Wolf Creek: Legacy was finally announced.
Franchise director Greg McLean opted to hand the filmmaking reins over to Wolf Creek 2 editor Sean Lahiff this time, though lead John Jarratt was swiftly confirmed to be back for another go-around as serial killer antagonist Mick Taylor.
This time, Taylor will be hunting a family of American tourists who are on a "dream trip" to the Australian outback that goes murderously awry.
Shooting started back in March, so it's safe to say that the threequel is now in the can, and distributor Cineverse has already announced that they're planning a wide theatrical release rather than sending it straight to streaming as one might've expected.
