20 Upcoming Horror Movies That Made PERFECT Casting Choices

14. Kristen Stewart & Wagner Moura - Flesh Of The Gods

Love Lies Bleeding Civil War

Flesh of the Gods is the long-awaited new film from the brilliant Panos Cosmatos, best known for his kaleidoscopic horror films Beyond the Black Rainbow and Mandy.

Described as a gothic supernatural horror-thriller, the film takes place in 1980s Los Angeles as a married couple crosses paths with a mysterious vampire and are seduced into his surreal ways.

The central couple, Alex and Raoul, will be played by Kristen Stewart and Wagner Moura, and that alone is enough to pique plenty of interest in this one. For starters, Stewart and Moura are, of course, both fantastic, Oscar-nominated actors, and it's not much of a stretch to picture them having great chemistry on-screen.

More to the point, though, Stewart's casting here is especially fun considering her history in the vampire subgenre per her tenure in the Twilight franchise, and one can imagine there's a certain self-aware element to her landing a part in this decidedly more left-field horror offering.
