1 Overlooked Gem Song From Every Iron Maiden Album
1. Days Of Future Past - Senjutsu
There are albums on this list dating back over 40 years to the very beginning of Iron Maiden's career, from which tracks have become classics and others have been left behind. With Senjutsu being only six months old, and with Maiden yet to properly tour the album however, it is more difficult to judge which are overlooked as of yet.
More difficult, but not impossible, as the internet is a wonderful thing, and is a window into the opinion of the many, including what is thought about Maiden's newest chapter. The tracks seemingly getting the most attention are 'Writing on the Wall', and essentially the second half of the CD.
Why though, would no one single out 'Days of Future Past' as one of the strongest on the album? At just over four minutes, it is one of the shortest not only on the album, but from the last 20 years, but just because it is more compressed doesn't mean it doesn't boast that Iron Maiden magic.
From the powerful guitar to kick things off, to the anthemic chorus, 'Days of Future Past' is a strong addition to the Maiden catalogue that, as is the case with many of the releases since Bruce Dickinson's return, has been lost in a sea of longer epics.
