1. Juliette Lewis
If nothing else, Juliette Lewis walks to the beat of her own drums. Sure, she might be missing parts of her kit and she refuses to replace her broken sticks, instead wrapping them in scotch tape and loose twine, but hey, to each their own. She's been a nomad in Hollywood, with roles as diverse as (the third iteration of) Audrey Griswold in Christmas Vacation and an uncompromising psychopath in Natural Born Killers. But she also has no problem appearing in watered-down rom-coms. Band: Juliette Lewis & The Licks She takes that gypsy-punk way of hers into the recording studio, as well. On one hand, she makes solo stuff that could pass as Avril Lavigne's "new musical direction," and on the other, she goes full on Patti Smith when she records music for Juliette & The Licks. She was doomed to instant criticism from the outset, simply because her nomadic nature made it impossible for people to see her foray into rock music as anything other than a brief cash-grab or bit of attention seeking. But anyone who's given her music an honest chance would be surprised to hear how incredibly effortless Lewis is able to rock. She's punk as hell and a talented vocalist to boot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wYVOgYgicQ
