10 Albums From Famous Artists NOT On Streaming Services
8. Johnny Marr And The Healers – Boomslang
From The The, Electronic, and Modest Mouse, Johnny Marr is a journeyman when it comes to featuring on albums. However, he only has a select few of his own, and ten years before his solo career started in 2013, Marr formed the supergroup Johnny Marr and the Healers.
Their sole 2003 album Boomslang feels a bit like standard Marr with a psychedelic The Stone Roses twist, and that’s probably due to the group featuring Kula Shaker’s Alonza Bevan and The Who’s Zak Starkey in his pre-Oasis days (yes, Ringo’s son). The album failed to chart, and single Bangin' On scraped the UK Top 100 Singles charts.
The former guitarist of The Smiths has been critical of streaming in the past, once stating "I can't think of anything more opposite to punk rock than Spotify." Boomslang was on streaming services in 2013, but was taken down, likely to not confuse people looking for Marr’s trio of solo albums.
