10 Albums That Are Difficult To Listen To
2. The Life of Pablo - Kanye West
There are a lot of things that can play into not wanting to hear a record over and over again. Sometimes you have shoddy mixing getting in the way of things, or the sheer length of the entire project is enough to turn you off of the entire operation on principle. Though Kanye West's the Life of Pablo still holds up as a solid enough release, all of the discourse surrounding is enough to make even the die hard fans check out.
Throughout most of the album rollout, Kanye seemed to be hyping this thing up to high hell, showcasing all of the guests that were going to be on it along with the massive rollout of his clothing line around the same time. All while we fans waited in anticipation, just getting the tracks proved to be an endeavor, with the record not even being fully finished by the time it was released.
Along with setbacks involving Chance the Rapper and Ye uploading the rough mixes of songs by accident, most people seemed to be over trying to listen to these tracks before we had even heard the finished versions. Even though this may be the most human Kanye album that he had released up until this point, your mileage is bound to vary depending on how much you're willing to go along for the ride with Ye in the driver's seat. Suffice to say, it's gonna be bumpy.
