10 Alternative Rock Music Videos You've Never Seen

1. Home Is Such A Lonely Place - Blink 182

The idea of a pop-punk ballad might not be the most appealing notion to some. For anyone who grew up in the 2000s, Blink 182 were the sound of adolescence. Whether you were a fan of them or not, you couldn't escape their jaunty inoffensive take on punk. Their music scored every other teen-comedy and was played incessantly on the radio. It was harmless fun that had its charm. But when the group released a single about growing old, the band needed to adopt a more mature and sensitive mantle.

Videos of the boys wearing speedos and hip thrusting in plane hangers, might have suited songs like All The Small Things, but for this they needed something a little more tame. Home Is Such A Lonely Place, scored snippets of 8mm home footage, showing each member and their respective families interacting with cringe inducing sweetness.

The group also released a number of videos, named after each band member, depicting a full version of each members individual film. It was wholesome stuff for a group who made the name streaking around LA.
