10 Amazing Hidden Tracks On Classic Albums

1. Her Majesty - The Beatles

The Beatles were certainly no strangers to the more experimental side of rock and roll. With Rubber Soul, they had originally sparked the idea of an album being more than just a collection of songs, and the rest of their career saw them toying with what could be done in the studio, from the warped grooves that looped around on Sgt. Peppers to making wild avant garde pieces like Revolution 9 on the White Album. And at the end of Abbey Road, they went for one of their wildest experiments yet.

Knowing that this was probably one of the last albums that everyone in the band would be making together, the final side of the record is a medley of some of their throwaway tracks, all put together into a grand symphony. While none of the songs really have anything to do with each other, the run from Golden Slumbers to The End really put the final cherry on top of the band's career...until Her Majesty comes in to break up the flow of everything.

While this brief acoustic ditty was supposed to be in the original medley in between Mean Mr. Mustard and Polythene Pam, Paul McCartney didn't think it was good enough and told the engineers to throw it out. Since none of their engineers felt comfortable with discarding the song, it turned up just at the end of Abbey Road, being the last bit of magic that we would ever hear from the Fab Four. And just like their time together, the whole thing seems to be over before most of us were ready for it to end.
