10 Amazing Hidden Tracks On Classic Albums

7. Eeyore - Slipknot

Everything about a song like Scissors by Slipknot feels like it's gearing up to be the closer of the album. Being a staple of Slipknot's live set, this was normally when the band was meant to go off onstage, including a few times where the rest of the band set Corey Taylor's coveralls on fire while he was singing the song. After an hour's worth of mayhem, they did have one more idea up their sleeve, except this one was a bit more lighthearted.

Since the rest of the album had Corey writing about a lot of pain and darkness in his life, Eeyore actually began as a rebuttal to a mosher that they had seen when they were playing their first club shows. Nicknaming him Thor for his long blonde hair, this guy was not the friendliest of people, always throwing elbows in the mosh pit and not helping people up after they fell until one day the crowd turned on him. Written in response to this douche, Slipknot made this song as a memory to the guy getting put in his place, with the entire crowd singling him out and leaving him pretty broken when everything was over.

There's also a bit of unintended humor as well, with the phrase I AM THE GREAT BIG MOUTH becoming the go to nickname for Corey in fan circles because of his vicious shout. There was a lot of horror to be found in Slipknot's early days, but who said you couldn't have a little bit of fun along the way as well?
