World leaders in making things very loud and very long, Dream Theater have been producing prog metal goodness since the mid-'80s, really starting to make an impact on the mainstream towards the end of the 2000s. Stream of Consciousness is one of them, taken from their 2003 album Train of Thought.
Described by drummer Mike Portnoy as "balls to the wall", Train of Thought was intended to be a heavier album than usual.
