10 Amazing Songs That Don't Have A Chorus

2. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

Nothing that Queen ever gave us was ever going to be half assed for any reason. The time and effort that went into everything from vocal harmonies to guitar solos was always meticulously planned out, and every song seemed to have its own unique structure that made it sound like Queen even if it wasn't Freddie Mercury taking the lead. Freddie knew he had something big for A Night at the Opera though, and what started off as three individual songs turned into a musical experience with Bohemian Rhapsody.

Originally stemming from a few bite sized ideas that Freddie had at the time, what came out was this elaborate trip through different parts of his psyche, framing the first half of the song as a murder ballad on piano before making a hard cut into full on operatic sections, coming out of Brian May's guitar solo with layers upon layers of vocal tracking that didn't have any other reference than actual operatic pieces from the baroque era. As the vocals build to a climax though, the band launches back into rock territory with one of the best riffs of their career, until finally coming to an end with Freddie's soulful crooning.

By the time the band actually got finished, there was hardly anything left to use, with the master tape being almost transparent after they were finished because of how many overdubs they had to put on it. It may not have made sense for the suits at the record company to put out a song that was over 6 minutes as a single, but when you go on a musical journey like this, you're not going to forget it for the rest of your life.
