10 Amazing Songs Written In 30 Minutes Or Less

9. Adele – Skyfall

James Bond movies are huge, big-budget productions, and no decision is taken lightly, including the choice of who is going to perform the theme song. So when we found out that Adele’s Skyfall was fleshed out in under ten minutes, we were a bit surprised.

While talking to Hollywod.com in December 2012, producer Paul Epworth remembered Adele’s performance in the studio on the night of recording the song: "Within 10 minutes, she put down most of the vocals. She had the lyrics ready in her head when she drove over. It was the most absurd thing. She's fast, but it was really quite phenomenal."

The lyrics might have been written very quickly and Adele might have recorded her parts in ten minutes, but Epworth took another eighteen months fine-tuning and perfecting the song, to make sure everything is just right.

And you have to tip your hat to them because they definitely pulled it off. The song’s melancholic themes and Adele’s dramatic performance perfectly encapsulate the atmosphere of the film. But not only that, it managed to become successful in its own right, winning a tonne of awards – including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy – and even sneaking into a couple of Adele’s live setlists.
