10 Anticipated Albums Still To Come In 2019
7. Rob Zombie
Heavy metal’s Rob Zombie has been working on his seventh studio album since 2017. The album will be a follow up to 2016's The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. It will be the first album released on German label Nuclear Blast Records, who have the likes of Nightwish, Machine Head, and Slayer on their books.
What probably hasn’t helped his productivity is finding out earlier this year that hours of his master tapes were destroyed in the 2008 Universal Studios fire. Zombie’s last single released was a cover of Helter Skelter by The Beatles, thought by many music snobs to be the first metal song. While the collaboration with Mariliyn Manson will likely not be on the new album, another between the two can not be ruled out.
Guitarist John 5 has described the new album as their best, and compared it to The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band. Video content is apparently being meticulously thought about as well, with Zombie holding the album back to get it content-ready for the modern era.
The title for the album is currently unknown, but with a free schedule in November and December, we aren't ruling this one out just yet.
