10 Anticipated Albums Still To Come In 2019
2. My Bloody Valentine
Notorious online for their 1991 shoegaze masterpiece Loveless, My Bloody Valentine are preparing to release their first album since 2013’s m b v. The English-Irish rock band have only released one album since their reformation in 2007.
Frontman Kevin Shields spent most of 2018 in festival interviews teasing two upcoming EPs that would be a pre-cursor to a full album. None of this is yet to happen. Apparently they’re releasing TWO albums, and it may involve legendary producer Brian Eno. Big claims. New songs were performed on tour in 2018, but the band haven't even performed live since October of that year.
The bands social media accounts have gone quiet all year, so one would assume they band are still hard at work. Alas, no new yet, with only months remaining to fulfil a double promise. But if you've listened to Loveless, you will know that if there is one thing MBV fans are used to, it is heartbreak.
It is unknown if the new album will be able to stream, as to the dismay of the Internet their three albums are currently unavailable to stream outside the US on Spotify. Perhaps a distribution contract is getting in the way of any impending releases. You can't release your fourth album with nothing on streaming services in 2019!
