10 Artists Who Got Away With Totally Breaking The Law

8. Mick Jagger

Lead singer of one of the most iconic rock bands of all time in The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger in particular gained popularity through his onstage performances and by somehow managing to score countless women despite having a face like a pug. In 1972, the Stones were in Rhode Island when Jagger, Richards and three others got into an altercation with a photographer. The fight got out of hand and the police were called in to calm matters down. Jagger and his entourage were soon arrested by the police, something they didn€™t take to kindly too. Jagger violently resisted arrest and a further charge of police obstruction was added. But of course, as is the case with the other entries in this list, Jagger was at the time just too big a rockstar to ever get into any serious trouble. The police don't often have much patience for assault, particularly when the accused violently resists arrest €“ often leading to further, more serious charges of assaulting a police officer. Jagger and co. however got off scot free with the charges inexplicably being dropped, leaving one to assume that money and fame reared its ugly head again and made the officers look the other way. In fact the only inconvenience that the Stones garnered from the whole ordeal was that they ended up four hours late to a show in Boston - though that's more of an annoyance on their fans behalf.
