10 Artists that Could Headline Glastonbury 2013

9. Daft Punk

It took me a long time to decide to add Daft Punk to this list. They tour very little and there is not any substantial evidence to suggest they will headline but it was announced a couple of days ago that they will have a new album out in the spring. In other words, if there was a time for them to play Glastonbury as part of a tour it would be now. As always with big electronic groups it is difficult to judge how big they actually are; all three of their albums reached the UK Top 10 and they've also had three Top 10 Singles but they have had mixed chart success. Glastonbury does have a rich history of booking electronic acts to headline such as The Chemical Brother in 2000, Moby in 2003 and The Prodigy in 1997 but each of these acts had previously released no. 1 albums. A tweet by Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis a couple of days ago suggested that Daft Punk were not booked but this doesn't mean that they won't be approached before the festival. In 2007 they played at RockNess and headlined two Wireless Festival shows in Hyde Park and Leeds so it is quite likely they will play a large British Festival if they tour at all.
