10 Artists that Could Headline Glastonbury 2013

8. Kasabian

post38 A similar band to the Arctic Monkeys in some ways. Kasabian are a fairly modern Rock group that have found themselves increasingly likely to have chart success and headline large UK Festivals. Their 2004 debut album reached No. 4 in the UK Chart whilst their three albums since then has reached the top of the chart. Kasabian also have a large collection of sing-a-long singles that are immediately recognisable to the general public which makes them a perfect festival band. Their success as both studio and live performers has seen them headline the majority of large festivals in the United Kingdom in the previous 2-3 years. T in the Park and Reading + Leeds had them in 2012, Isle of Wight Festival in 2011, V Festival and T again in 2010. Kasabian have already performed a few times at Glastonbury; Opening the Other Stage in 2004, Sub-Headlining the Other Stage by 2005 and Sub-Headlining the Pyramid Stage in 2007. It seems likely that they will make a return to headline the festival sometime soon. However, their current popularity as a festival headliner may make them slightly less unlikely this year.
