7. Kings of Leon
Since the release of their 2008 album Only By the Night, Kings of Leon have become one of the biggest rock groups in the world. Everyone has heard their smash hit singles Sex on Fire and Use Somebody both of which did extremely well on the UK Singles Chart. Their follow-up album Come Around Sundown also topped the UK Albums chart in 2010 and it seems likely that a new album will be released this year. They already have 6 UK Tour Dates planned for this year which makes them unlikely as most bands do not conduct a full UK tour and headline Glastonbury in the same year. However, they do have a rich history with Glastonbury and other UK Festivals. In 2009 Kings of Leon headlined T in the Park plus Reading and Leeds, V Festival provided them with a headline slot in 2010 as did Isle of Wight in 2011. Glastonbury was the first major festival to give them a headline performance in 2008 though. Prior to 2008, the Kings of Leon has Sub-Headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2004. Again, much like the Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian it seems likely that KoL will return to the fields of Glastonbury but will it be this year?
