10 Artists Who HATE Their Own Albums
7. Dirty Work - All Time Low
For a mid-period pop punk act, All Time Low were miles better than they had any right to be. As opposed to the more insipid rockers like Simple Plan or Good Charlotte, the songs these guys had going for them packed a lot more punch and were far more lyrically diverse than the typical angsty sounds of their counterparts. However, things ended up going to hell on Dirty Work.
Being their first big showcase for a major label, this seemed like the band's chance at reaching for legendary status, only to see them playing to the absolute bottom of the barrel. Whenever this album is brought up in conversation with the band, they have minced no words about the more commercial sound they were chasing, down to the co-writers littered throughout most of the song credits.
Even the fanbase has lined up to bash this thing alongside the band, which came out in full force once they hosted the Alternative Press Awards, where the band's teleprompter left nothing to the imagination when talking about the bland reception of the record.
The band has since moved back to their old label, and while everything might not be firing on all cylinders, the pop punk act we know and love is still all accounted for.
