In 2006 the band Black Sabbath were announced as inductees into the Hall of Fame. But one member had a major issue with their nomination. Osbourne made a very public statement when he wrote a letter to the Hall of Fame about his dislike for the institution. In true rock and roller fashion, he was very anti-establishment in his letter, telling fans and the panel of judges to "Save the ink. Forget about us."

His motivation for the letter wasn't completely unfounded, as he made it very clear that he was rejecting the induction due to the lack of fan involvement. He also labelled the band as a "people's band" and that it had "never been media darlings."

Osbourne did ultimately attend the ceremony as he felt it was the right thing to do for his bandmates. He did also apologise to the band and spoke of how he felt it was wrong of him to speak for all of the members. "All I am is a singer", he later said. He may have taken us all on a rollercoaster, but do you think he was right in rejecting the institution?
