10 Awesome Bruce Springsteen Stories That Prove He's The Boss

1. Busking In Copenhagen

Springsteen and co were in Copenhagen, Denmark for their Tunnel of Love world tour in July 1988. A couple of days before their scheduled concert, Springsteen decided to take a stroll through the streets. In typical Springsteen fashion, he ended up playing a fifteen minute set with a street busker.

While on his walk he happened to cross John Magnusson, who was busking and just happened to have two guitars with him. Never one to let a guitar sit there unused, Springsteen joined in and performer I'm On Fire, The River and Dancing In The Dark for the rapidly-growing crowd.

The excitable Magnusson may have been playing out-of-sync with Bruce and his dance moves aren't the best, but it was a magic moment and showed just what a man of the people Bruce is. One of the best things about the video is that fans don't try to rush Bruce or shout of requests, but respect him and his time and efforts.

After the set he drops some change into a hat, hugs his busking friend and goes on his merry way.
